Hi everyone The latest results of our Water Quality Monitoring and Chemical Analyses are attached for your information. The following comments are offered by way of explanation.

  1. The water flow in our waterways is greatly reduced, to the point that the Coomera River has almost stopped flowing across the weir. This results in a concentration of pollutants and a less hopeful outlook for our macroinvertebrate populations

  2. The results from across our waterways are within normal limits except for Yaun Creek and the Nerang River; in both cases there is a concentration of contaminants largely due to lack of flow and also negative influences from both agriculture and septic tank maintenance

  3. We do need a healthy injection of rainfall of at least 150mm to make a difference to the overall integrity of our waterways.

The exemplary efforts of Kim, Helen, Ross and Brian are greatly appreciated. These people are great fun to work with and have a significant investment of effort and interest in ensuring the health of our waterways. Kind regards Steven Gill

Just became aware of this page and want to say thanks to all involved in the planting project on the old farm near Regatta Waters. Can’t believe how big some of those trees are now. As a local from Graywillow Blvd, I’m happy to get involved in the future. Great job guys!!!
